Board of- Library Trustees <br /> 11/13/0.1 <br /> PAGE <br /> II David explained that this was a. coordinated meeting with Ma tepee <br /> Commons , the Library officials and, the selectmen. David further <br /> explained that the parcel that the present library was built upon <br /> was town-owned- land, Part of the component when they go forard <br /> and , have their library design, part of the Mashpee Commons project <br /> is they retain 'design review and-. approval, ani'. the library - trustees . <br /> were looking forward- to working with them 'in- concert to build the <br /> best library for ,the -Town. <br /> David had suggested to John . enz that he and- David should coor . <br /> dinate a time when they could 'get together to discuss present <br /> site, other sites,' etc. David will in vito any of the people <br /> present to join them at the meeting with questions , concerns, ' etc. <br /> David advised that the. selectmen were the appointing board of the <br /> building committee. David explained that they had a few members <br /> who have not attended meetings - in a coup.e of years, and they <br /> were going to respectfully request that they be removed so that <br /> they can have people who can take their places . All bf that will <br /> be put into a memo regarding membership. <br /> David requested , a motion from the building committee - to elect <br /> Maureen Rounds and Tom O'Neil . They have submitted letters of <br /> .interest to the selectmen, and in this letter, we are going to <br /> sena a recommendation that we would lite to have them as Members <br /> of the building committee. . <br /> Grace Talmage made a motion that, the building committee accept the <br /> two- candidates, Maureen Rounds and TomO'Neil .. Anton Buschenfel.dt <br /> seconded the' motion. All. in favor.. so moved. David welcomed the <br /> new members to the building committee. <br /> David had introduced Kevin Connolly and Sheldon Gilbert. - There is <br /> also a third person., Bonnie Barrett, David indicated by our next <br /> meeting he hoped we' would get - that underway. <br /> David explained that we had. townspeople , selectmen, library <br /> officials, building committee - members , a whole host of people <br /> interested in doing the best that we can - for our' 'Town, Wayne <br /> Taylor is our liaison from the Selectmen' Office-. Wayne had <br /> attended our October- trustees -meeting. ,lot of territory was . <br /> covered and- got back on track. <br /> Helene reviwed for- the people who had not been -present at the <br /> beginning of the -Trustees Meeting wh t had been accomplished' <br /> during her recent meeting with Joyce- Ma.son, She explained that <br /> the very first decision that would have to be- made was to decide <br /> on a site. Before you can bring in an- architect and have him <br /> design something, you would reed to know where it was going to <br /> be located. That .would be discussed at. the next meetihg. Also <br /> if another grant round . should open - up, a site was required, <br />
