Again this year, I collaborated with the public schools in
1ashpee and helped develop a suggested surer reading list for grades K through 4. All
of the students in grades K through 4 are required to log their reading time. The reading
logs were seat home through the schools. when children bang their reading log into the
library, they receive a small prize for their reading effort and for visiting the library.
As part of the Summer Reading Program, I have offered a weekly Trivia Contest. The
winner each geek receives an"Explore Other worlds @ your library"T-shirt. We have
had the following p .rticipaton for the Trivia contest:
July 3 rd 28 entries
July 10111 41 entries
July 17" 16 entries
July 24h 31 entries
July 31 20 entries
The Mashpee Cultural Council sponsored two special events this month as part of the
Sumuner Library Adventure.
