Fundraising and Marketing Report <br /> Melinda Gallant to the <br /> Mashpee Library Building Committee <br /> 9/21/05 <br /> General Fundraising- <br /> 1. Ted Nadolny ran the Falmouth Road race and earned pledges for the <br /> library building fund. Ted raised over $3,000. <br /> 2. The Mashpee Library Artisans Fair chaired by Sherry Bergeron was a <br /> huge success and raised approximately $4,000. <br /> 3. The Mashpee Library walk to read-a-thon 9/18 chaired by Heather <br /> Lakatos and Kelly Konstantly raised approximately $1100. <br /> 4. The M. Brann shopping event was changed to 10/18 because Marie <br /> Brann was having minor knee surgery. Price of the ticket is 2 for <br /> $15.00. Customers receive 15% purchases at the store that,evening. <br /> Customers may opt to give the 15% to the FOML (Friends of the <br /> Mashpee Library) as an additional donation <br /> Grants- <br /> 1. TON is working with a professional grant writer on numerous <br /> foundations that fund new library projects. <br /> 2. MSG had a lunch meeting with CC5's Dave Willard, VP of <br /> community affairs and the foundation. There is great interest in <br /> funding the computer resources for the library. A specific letter <br /> proposal will go to David in early October outlining the exact <br /> opportunity for the bank and foundation. MSG contacting other banks. <br /> Fundraising Committee- <br /> 1. The newly formed fundraising committee has met twice in August. <br /> The next meeting is 10/7. This is the "quiet phase" of the fundraising <br /> plan. <br /> 2. The members of the committee are David Burton, Ted Nadolny, Joyce <br /> Baldasaro, Linda Steele, Tom O'Neill, Patty Erickson and;newly <br /> appointed Joe Anastos.
