There were 13 participants who enjoyed <br /> "Strawberry Moon" stories and craft. <br /> On June oh. Kate Yard, the Endangered Shorebird Manager f Waq oit Bay Deserve, <br /> presented a program at the library. She brought many critters that live in and around <br /> waoit Bay. 'There were 23 fascinated participants. <br /> Registration for the Summer Reading Program began on June 12 Again this year, <br /> children are asked to commit to read 20 minutes per day for at least 5 days a week. Each <br /> day that they read, they record their time on their reading log. when they visit the library <br /> each week, the children have their reading log stamped and Will receive a small prize for <br /> achieving the goal. The reading logs were seat home through the K. C. Coombs School <br /> to students in Grades K through 3. Students entering grades four through six were also <br /> encouraged to participate in the library reacting program and information was sent home <br /> through the Quashnet School. As of June 3o , we have 169 children registered. <br /> The Kick-Off for the Summer Library Adventure was held on June 27,h. Stephen_Baird, <br /> an internationally known street performer entertained a very lame crowd of 151. This <br /> program was funded by the Ilashee Cultural Council and the Friends of the Mshpee <br /> Library. <br />
