Children must commit to read a minimum of 20 minutes ver day at least <br /> -"days a week. when children bring their reading log.into the library, they receive small <br /> prime for their reading effort and for visiting the library <br /> As part of the Summer Reading Program, I have offered a Weekly Trivia Contest. The <br /> inner each week receives a"What's uzir ' at your library " T-shirt. have had the <br /> following participation for the Trivia Contest: <br /> Augusth 5 34 entfies <br /> August 1 38 entries <br /> Augu st 1 17 entries <br /> Rosemary Modic, our Early Childhood Specialist from the Upper Cape Family Network, <br /> continued to provide story time during the month of August VA'th attendance as follows: <br /> August Toddle Time 1 1 <br /> Toddle Time II 1 <br /> Augu st 14' Toddle Time 1 1 <br /> Toddle Time 11 1 <br /> The Scrabble Club continued into August and was such fun for those who participated. <br /> On the final day, one of the boys who had attended every session, brought me a chocolate <br /> "J" from Gh lfi's and told me it was worth 8 points! The participation was as follows: <br /> August 1 1 <br /> August 8h 12 <br /> Our mostp ular event of the summer, am Babies, was held on August 2d. A woman <br /> from Lakeville brought 26 baby animals to the library. Children were able to hold the <br /> animals as they were wrapped in receiving blankets. There were puppies, kittens, rabbits, <br /> chickens, ducks, a pig, and a goat in diapers. It was so cute and all 10 participants raved <br /> about the program. Because it was so popular, I have already booked the program for <br /> next summer_ This event was sponsored by the Upper Cape Family Network. <br /> Henry Juggler u ler returned to the Mashpee Library on August 10 . The juggling <br /> performance was held on the Green across the street from the library and a workshop <br /> followed the performance. There were 91 participants for this program, which was <br /> sponsored by the Mashpee Cultural and the Friend of the Mashpee Library. <br />
