Question One passed b % of the voters who took the time to vote on Saturday. That was a larger percentage than the first-debt exclusion. That percentage is impressive for a non-contested election. The Town Clerk had predicted about 1,000 votes would e cast- Saturday aid she was extremely,accurate in herrojection. Many- of those who came out told the volunteers that they had come especially to vote for the library. l' like 'to express -my thanks 'to the Trustees, 'staff, Friends and volunteers who have put so.many.hours into getting us to these votes and to the voters who are solidly behind a.neer library. Staffing eras'affected by the.vote on the budget.. Bridget Bontrager will be going from-30 hours per we.ek to 35 hours per wee k on, July 1 . A ter porarry sum mer circulation Assistant position was also approved. `his will be the first time the Ilbr ry has had additional staffing during the summer. The person will work 1 hours per'week and will mostly cover afternoons and Saturdays. The staff'found last summer to be the 'most difficult yet. Any absences were Keenly felt by the remaining -staff.
