Mashpe Purblic Library
P.O. Box 65
Mashpee, Ma 02649
Circulation
for June-2007 was 12,011 items. This month's circulation exceeded
last ,lune by 175 iters. Our year-to-date TD total of 135,192 items exceeded
last years total by 61725. We ended' the year 5 ahead of-last years, total i
circulation and achieved the highest circulation-in the library s history. In addition,
our YTD total for doloadable audio books i ''l 50 iters:
registered for a tour of two projects on reen library July 19th.- The tour
I have reg - -
starts at the Mendell Library and concludes with tour of the North Adams
Library. The program i sponsored -by the fester Region and bus is being
46
-
provided for the ride from Wendell to Noah Adams. I hope to pick up some ideas
that vire can incorporate into our library design. There was quite a bit of interest
in .inco rating features into the building when the library, had its on
building committee. During'-my tour-last year of the, Lorusso Building at the
Community College, I care away, with the feeling that some energy efficiencies
can be incorporated without great expense. I will be taking notes to see if either
library has used features which didn't involve lame capital outlays.
man people have told a the contacted the Governor's office about
To date y
including library funding in his Capital Plan. He has not fret released his capital
Flan and probably won't 'until the .operating budget is settled. The operating
budget is now si,tting on the governor's desk awaiting his signature or line item
vetoes.
Assistant, Debbie limina, started ori last geek:
fur Summer Circulation ,
Alreadythastaff~ has seen a difference in their stress level. The Fourth of .duly
,
week was extremely revel hectic and her presence at the front desk was invalua e.
Circulation for that week was 3,224 items and that was a shorter week because
of the holiday closing. Janet ur e's children's activities have started for the
summer. I attended her ,duly 3rdevent which was a performance by the Yo leo,
people. she geld it across the street on the Commons and it attracted a,crowd of
about 200 people. sure shell corer it in-any detail on her net report.
workshop on June 2 at the Cotuit Library. ,lames
I attended the annual ABIs r r .
Lner
an from the MBLC, carne down and reviewed changes to the Aid« !vans,
for.this year. I'll be spending time in July and August compiling the statistics
required to complete the forms.
