We had penguin stories and did apromotion <br /> , <br /> for the new movie"Surf's Up"'. Heather Brydon, from legal Cinemas, brought goodies <br /> for everyone ar we had a rade for free movie tickets,t-shirts and several other great <br /> items. All 20 participants went home with something and-many people commented on <br /> how much fun it was. The promotion was well received. <br /> "Catch the Beat at Your Lib '' is the theme for the 2007 statewide Summer Reading <br /> Program. In addition to our annual children's summer reading program, the l ashpe <br /> Library is also offering an online summer reading program for children,teens and adults. <br /> Patrons will be able to participate in the program online without ever having to visit the <br /> library. It i 'ho ped that the online version will attiract more teens to participate. Checkit <br /> out at vww.frien sofrnmhpeelibny_or . <br /> On June 11 th 13'h, and 1 I visited the Quashnet School to promote the summer reading <br /> program, the online reading program, and the special events planned for the summer. I <br /> spoke to all 2-5 classes in grades 3 through 6, pt-o imately 500 students. <br /> I attended the Mashpee Community Partnership Council Meeting on Junel2th. This <br /> grant project will again provide the library with two passes to the Cape Cod Children's <br /> Museum.um. <br />
