tool I ' MASIRPEE CABLE AND ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY ADVISORY BOARD MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING MELD TUESDAY,SEPTEMBER IIS 2007 TOWN HALL MEE'T'ING ROOM Present: Andrew Efiaso James Chisholm, Lolita.McCray James Moroney Mame Wolfset Andrew Ehason, Chairman, called the Meeting to order at 3:05 p.m. Approval of Minutes,...James Chisholm motioned to accept the minutes of the Special Meeting of July.17,2007 as Britten;Lolita McCray seconded the motion; all approved, except Maxine wolfset,who abstained. Discussion Town Hall Control Room Andrew Ehason advised the Board that he ordered the components;to upgrade the Town Hall Control Room equipment that Maxine requested, but the company was shut down over the summer due to employee health issues. The company assures Andrew they will be hack on their feet so he will stick with them for now. ,lames Chishohn said that Maxine made a comment that the Control loom should be completely taken apart. Andrew responded that if Maxine wishes to take it up with Joyce Mason she should dcr so but Andrew Bels the equipment is fine. He, added it is old,but it does the job. Andrew cornn'n rated that the Control Room needs improvements, but to rebuild the whole place would be a huge undertaking. Maxine advised that Comcast carne in to do something and created some type of problem. ,carnes Chishohn noted that the Town Mall studio is to broadcast meetings and it is not set up to do all types of video broadcasting. Lolita added that this Board does good things; we've clone a lot for the town of Mashpee. School System Reauest James Moroney discussed in detail the approval of money granted to the Mashpee High School at the last meeting, including the urgency of having to decide so quickly. Lolita said that since we are starling a new year we should go hack to the rule we had put in place that requests must be submitted at least a month prior to our voting on it. Andrew read a letter of thanks from the Superintendent of Schools.' During the discussion,it was the consensus of the Board that they should visit the Thigh School and look at their studio and see what it looks like. Perhaps while at the High School the Board could meet with Arthur Joia to see whether or not the funds approved at last month's meeting were used yet.
