I attended a workshop on November SIS'provided by the Child Care Network in Hyannis. <br /> "Using Puppets with Young Children" vas presented by Mary Filson, a local puppeteer <br /> who has performed at our library numerous tunes. I found her discussion of puppetry <br /> with young children from a developmental and educational perspective to be very <br /> informative. <br /> On November I attended SEWS' 7hAnnual Performers Showcase in Taunton. This <br /> year's lineup of performers was fabulous and a wonderful inspiration to bring new <br /> programs to our library. Travel time was well spent as I drove to Taunton with Jennifer <br /> Sirrico, the Falmouth children's librarian. We were able to discuss the Falmouth <br /> Library's move into a temporary location. <br /> ffi <br /> The Mashpee Cultural Council met for the first time this year on November <br /> p 8 This is <br /> y second year on the Cultural Coun t I and I am now the Treasurer. There are three <br /> other new members who are very enthusiastic about the Council. There were 1 <br /> applications to discuss, and we also talked about doing some outreach in the community <br /> to encourage a widerlip <br /> ool of applicants for next year. n November 28"'I met with <br /> p <br /> Kathleen Moore at Town Hall to discuss the agenda for our December meeting. <br /> The Mashpee High School Ivey Club had planned a series of Pajama Story Times to be <br /> held every two weeks. The First event in October was very successful and many families <br /> were looking forward to the next Pajama Story Time. on November 8 Ihwe had 1 <br /> participants. The teens have discovered that it requires a lot of work and preparation to <br /> provide a successful story time and have decided to plan the events for once a month. On <br /> November 2S h I met with 4 teens to assist them with planning and preparation for the <br /> December story time_ <br /> it children's librarian n November 10'at the <br /> I visited Jennifer ��rrrc , the Falmouth h , <br /> library's temporary location. Jen gave me a tour and explained the moving process, what <br /> areas of the collection were moved and what was put in storage. <br /> Regal Cinereas of Mashpee Commons contacted nee to provide a story time to promote <br /> the new movie, "Mr. Magoriurn's Wonder Emporium". This special event was Meld on <br /> November and 16 people enjoyed stories and handouts supplied by Regal Cinemas. <br /> We also had a raffle for to sets of free movie passes. <br />
