Erika IeGrazia, a <br /> 1lashpee High School senior, has been working as an intern for the Toa of 1lashpee. <br /> Since February, Erika has spent one day a week at the liber as part of her internship in <br /> order to Delp me in the children's department. The Appreciation Breakfast was <br /> fascinating way to learn about the School to Careers program and I truly enjoyed the <br /> speakers including Kathleen Schatzberg, CCCC President, Senator Robert O'Leary, and <br /> Cassandra Ioenen, Director of Online Campaigns and Marketing for International Fund <br /> for Animal Welfare(IFAW). <br /> Family Story Time was held on May 3 in conjunction with Regal Cinemas in order to <br /> promote the release of the Prince Caspian movie. Where were 17 participants who <br /> enjoyed prince stories and handouts from Regi Cinemas. <br /> I visited Lids Klub Preschool on May 71hand brought story time to 36 children. <br /> South Cape Village and Leisure Services are plawfing a Family Fun Fest for August 16th. <br /> Melinda asked erne to participate with the event and help with the planning. Our first <br /> planning meeting was held on May 8P. 1 invited the Upper Cape Family Network and the <br /> Mashpee Community Partnership Council to join our efforts. Melinda was pleased to <br /> include other local agencies. <br /> I attended the Cape Cod Children's Librarians Roundtable Meeting in Truro on May 19P. <br /> Kathy Schrock presented a condensed web 2.0 Applications presentation. Marie <br /> nochty, of the Cape& Islands Early Childhood Resource Center, discussed relocating <br /> her resources to an Upper Cape location. we also discussed the 2009 Family Library <br /> Event and had a summer reading swap. <br />
