He is unable to discount <br /> the gaming equipment, however, he did offer to cone to the library to set up the <br /> equipment. He also offered to train the staff and he is grilling to collaborate on gaming <br /> programs. I think his knowledge and expertise is more valuable than a discount He is <br /> checking with.his regional manager about the possibility of matching the discount of % <br /> on games which is offered by . - he Young Adult Librarian from Harwich told me <br /> that when she was trying to build her circulating collection of games, she went to Game <br /> Stop and purchased used games. <br /> The Children's Irbranans Roundtable met in Hyannis on September l e. As president <br /> of the Roundtable, I plan the guest speaker and agenda, and I facilitate the meeting. our <br /> guest speaker was a sales representative from Barefoot Books, very high quality <br /> children's boobs. She, explained the background history of Barefoot Books and offered <br /> the librarians a generous discount. . <br /> I attended the M shp ee Community Partnership Meeting n September 22d, Last June it <br /> was voted by Council members to fund Toddle Time at the-library. However, there were <br /> additional cuts in the budget over the summer.- "The .line item in the budget to fund <br /> Rose 'Rosemmy's programwas severely cut. The Council is still trying to decide hover to best <br /> use whatlittle money is left.- one of the programs they are trying to bring back are the <br /> free playgroups run by Rosemary. In the past,these playgroups were held at the Cape . <br /> Cod Children's Museum and they charged a-rental fee for the space. CPC is looking into <br /> holding playgroups la oux s t the elementary school. <br /> On September 23 Helene and I attended-the first meeting for Mashpee Reads. NUshpee. . <br /> Reads was initiated by the public schools. 'Their mission is to promote'reading town wide <br /> and the ulnu*nation will be the opening of the new library. <br /> I had a new volunteer g <br /> begin helping me in the-Children's Room on September 2 .
