The Friends sponsored aholiday book sale on December 'h. Big Ryan, a storyteller, performed <br /> for an audience of 21. <br /> "'Tommy rigarrni", a Mashpee Library volunteer., volunteered his time to conduct an Origarni <br /> Workshop for children on December 1 Ih- There were 7 people who participated. <br /> I attended the Children's Librarians Roundtable meeting in Chatham on December 15th. There <br /> was quite a bit of discussion about video games, and it was addressed that 1aMshp 's game <br /> collection was not available to request from other libraries. We had made the games "library <br /> us.e only" so that the collection would be on premise for the opening of our new building. We <br /> will now let our video games circulateto other CLAIMS libraries. <br /> The Massachusetts Children's Book Award Book Club for 4ht to 6 to graders met on December <br /> 1 �'. We have 13 out of the 14 registered members enjoyed pizza (provided at cost by 's <br /> Pizza) and game show style questions about the monthly book. <br /> The Mashpee Cultural Council met at the library on December th. Since Kathleen, the former <br /> Chairperson, resigned earlier this year, I arra now the -Chair and-the Treasurer. <br /> The Silverfish Book Club ford and Brgraders met on December 21't. Only 6 out of the 1 <br /> registered members participated this month. Parents provide the snack while we discuss the <br /> monthly book. Then the children drag a picture and these pictures are n display in the <br /> children's department. <br /> We offered three events during the school vacation week. I knew from past years that library <br /> events generally are not well-attended over the Christmas vacation geek.
