Posting of the Library Director Position <br /> Bridget Bontrager stated her recommendation that the job should be placed within <br /> CLAMS, advertised in the Cape Cod Times, sent to the ( lass. Board of Library <br /> Commissioners which will display it within all regions in Massachusetts, the University of <br /> Rhode Island and Simmons college: where both have active library programs. Bridget <br /> stated her feeling that a national search would not be necessary. It could be done <br /> regionally, reaching into New Hampshire and Maine as well. The Human Resources <br /> Department in Mash pee will be coordinating the job search. The search Committee will <br /> be comprised of the Library Trustees, Human Resources Director, and David <br /> Del ecchio, the Mashpee IT Director. Bridget reminded the Board that housing will be <br /> an issue for out-of-state applicants, of which there will undoubtedly be many. David <br /> Burton stated his estimate of 8 to 10 creeks for the selection process to be completed. <br /> . Emergency Library closings <br /> The Board members agreed that any future emergency library closings must not be <br /> announced aria email, but should be coordinated by the Chairman of the Library Trustees <br /> or his delegated backup. The Board agreed not to establish a library closing policy at <br /> this time. <br /> . Reorganization of the Library Trustees Board <br /> David Burton stated that the board reorganization, and formalizing ing of sub-committees <br /> will be taking place in the weeks ahead. <br /> I . Establishment of a Library Foundation — John Kowalski <br /> John Kowalski ki distributed information to the Board members ers arbout the establishment <br /> process for library foundations, for their review. John stated that down the road, the <br /> trustees will need to be getting into the topic. .Pantdcia Lamarche stated that the former <br /> Falmouth Library foundation coordinator has offered to be an information source for the <br /> Library Trustees. <br /> . Library Trustee Liaison to Friends of the Library—.John Kowalski <br /> John Kowalski announced that he is resigning his position as liaison to the Friends of the <br /> Mashpee Library, due to time constraints, and would like to pass the responsibility on to <br /> Patricia Ga mache, who has registered her interest in taking on the job. <br /> John Kowalski made a motion that Patrician Gamache be appointed liaison between the <br /> Board of Trustees and the Friends of the Ilashpee Library. David Burton seconded the <br /> motion. The motion was unanimously approved. <br /> REVIEW of THE MINUTES <br /> David Burton made a motion that the minutes from the Library Trustees meeting of <br /> 1/11/25 be approved as presented. Nancy Soderberg seconded the motion. The motion <br /> was unanimously approved. <br /> David Burton made a motion that the minutes from the Library Trustees meeting of <br /> 1/25/11 be approved as presented. Carlo D'Este seconded the motion. The emotion was <br /> unanimously approved. <br />
