On the <br /> first visit he brought a fire truck and an ambulance for our Toddle Time group, ages 2 to 4. The <br /> children were able to hop onto the fire truck, meet the firefighters, and also go inside the <br /> ambulance. On the second visit, Chief Baker spoke to our Preschool Story Flour group, ages 3 t <br /> - . He put on his full fire fighting suit, including an air tank, in hopes that the children would not <br /> be afraid offire fighters in the evert of a real emergency. Chief Baker did a fantastic job and the <br /> families truly appreciated his visits. <br /> The first grade classes from the K C Coombs School c ntiued to schedule their annual walking <br /> field trip to the library during the month of October. The students were given a tour ofth <br /> Children's loom, a storey time, and then checked out a book if they had a library card. <br /> October t" Miss C rt's Class 2 <br /> October 21 Ms. Creme's Class 2 <br /> October 24 th Ms. Wilb is Class 2 <br /> I have collaborated with Julie Hall, Coordinator of the Ma. hpee Family and Community <br /> Partnership, to bring a series ofParenting Workshops to the library. This axe week series, <br /> "Strengthening Families", has been-presented by Cindy Horgan. Parents have been meeting in <br /> the Events Room and babysitting has been offered in the Children's Room with volunteers from <br /> the Mashpee Junior rational Honor Society students.
