Mr. Eliason <br /> suggests perhaps $3 0,000 is needed to finish the job. Mr. Shea discussed <br /> several options for microphones—PZM which lies flat on the table did not <br /> work in this instance, the lapel microphones worked well, but the cable <br /> wires were a problem. fir. Shea inquired whether more than one meeting <br /> at a time would be going on--Ms. Mason said usually just one at a time <br /> and we would need ars equipment operator, Mr. Shea opened the floor to <br /> questions from the audience. The board made a motion to grant$25,000 <br /> for new equipment. This will be deducted from the PEG account. <br /> F. The School Department—Melissa Murphy and Marcia King <br /> Ms. Murphy presented her proposal to the Board requesting several items <br /> for the schools. The request included: <br /> Synergy computer testing <br /> Repair and maintain studio <br /> Operate satellite dish <br /> UPS backup systems. <br /> LCD projector <br /> Video toaster <br /> Sound system for the Quashnet gyre <br /> Ms. Murphy informed the board that if the equipment is not brought up to par <br /> now, it will never be utilized properly. She requests that the board allocate <br /> whatever they can and any further maintenance will be put over the School <br /> Department's budget and the Superintendent agrees: Ms. Parol sl i added the the <br /> presentation by agreeing that they need whatever help they can get to get it going <br /> again properly, Mr. Ellason moves to $17,000 from.the PEG account for sound <br /> upgrade at the Quashnet gym and 25,000 from the gross revenue budget for repair <br /> and maintenance of the studio, satellite dish and synergy computer testing totling <br /> approximately$42,000 for the schools. The board seconds the motion and it is <br /> so approved. <br /> No New Business <br /> Next meeting will be Tuesday, October 8, 2002. <br /> Motion is made to adjourn the meeti <br />
