Melissa Murphy requested time on next meeting agenda. This was agreeable to <br /> the Board. Andy advised that he reviewed the work that was done and they did a great job. Jing <br /> Chisholm added that lie's pleased that we're getting students to work the cameras. Joyce commented <br /> that the upgraded studio here is incredible and working very well. <br /> Bill Shea...Jim Chisholm suggested Bill Shea be placed on retainer. Following discussion consensus <br /> was reached to retain Bill Shea at$2500. Joyce will draw up a draft contract for his services for one <br /> year, guarantee $2500. for the year, Cable Advisory Board will pay this retainer from Media Access <br /> .Account No. 73175380 <br /> Motion: Lolita McCray motioned to accept William Shea as our Conununications Consultant for a <br /> term of 1 year at a retainer of$2500 per year to be paid in 2 payments (one in July and one in <br /> December). This notion was seconded by Jim Chisholm, and was unanimously approved. <br /> Comcast...Ander advised that a letter dated May 5 to Joyce Mason from Mary O'Keeffe with <br /> Comcast's quarterly check attached was received. Jing Marr and Jinn Chisholm ill review account <br /> figures and will give update of available funds at next meeting. <br /> Bob Fensterrnalcer...Bob distributed list,of equipment needed to be upgraded or replaced at the <br /> studio. He explained what was needed and what benefits would be achieved. Andy stated they'd <br /> take the request under consideration and would review with Bob at next meeting on June 10. Some. <br /> of the issues discussed with Bob included: <br /> Package requested would enable live Town Meetings and things like that. Previously <br /> Mashpee borrowed this equipment but no longer available from Orleans. <br /> 0 Do we have insurance if someone damages the equipment? MaryO'Keeffe responded that <br /> Access users are responsible and that Comcast is self-insured for major equipment. <br /> o Equipment needs to be for public access to Mashpee resident. <br /> Comeast put in approximately$20,000 into the new studio. <br /> Anything in this proposal that should be clone by Comcast? <br /> Orleans and Mashpee are the only 2 communities where access studio owned by Comcast. <br /> Mashpee seems to be only Committee that meets monthly. <br /> Schedule of Meetings...Next Meeting: June 10, 2003, at 3 p.m., Town Hall Meeting Room 2. <br /> M tiont Lolita McCray motioned that the Commission hold no meetings in July and August and that <br /> the meeting following June 10 will be September 9, 2003 at 3 p.m. at Town Hall. Jing.Chisholm <br /> seconded this motion; and it was unanimously approved. <br /> Aou ment...Jinn Chisholm motioned to adjourn the meeting; this was seconded by Lolita McCray; <br /> and was unanimously passed.
