Lolita McCray motioned to accept the minutes of August 5, 2003 as <br /> amended; Jim Chisholm seconded this motion; and it was unanimously passed. <br /> Police_Department...Scott Halligan gave an update on the Reverse 911 system. He said it was set <br /> p the beginning of August and the hardware is working just fine. There are 16 lines-8 are <br /> dedicated; and 8 are being shared for faxes. <br /> Scott then presented a proposal regarding console purchase project. He noted that last month the <br /> 1212000 package included furniture. 'leo cut costs they checked with Motorola and were told they <br /> could use existing furniture. Therefore they are now requesting state-of-the art dual station dispatch <br /> system,which is badly needed. Prices for this technology remains the same, which is about$75,000 <br /> for equipment and software. Motorola is on state bid list. Copy of the cost breakdown is attached to <br /> these printed minutes. <br /> According to Scott,this dispatch system was on the Police Department capital improvement budget <br /> list,but removed before budget submitted. Andy indicated this request would be given cared <br /> consideration by MCAS'. <br />
