(see Request for Funding)
At that meeting, Ms Murphy presented a"wish list":
1. DVD Playback system for TV Station- $1,000
2. Final Cut Pro/Mac Computer - $5,000
3. Tightrope Cable cast system for TV Station- $10,000
4. TV/DVD with carts for KCC and Quashnet—(Combined TV/VCR/DVD -27" @$460 ea- $23,000
5. Wireless Microphone(System)for the MHS Auditorium—(w 10 microphones-$12,000.
6. 6. Clear Com System - $1,500
7. Extron Media Link - $8,000
Total: $60,500
Two more items and estimates were presented: 1. $4,200 (enclosed) from Dutra Video Systems for video
cameras and equipment; 2. $12,982 (enclosed)which was pricing from the Camera Company and prepared by
Dutra Video Systems for more camera and audio equipment.
Conversation on the proposal centered on these two items and resulted in a request by the committee for
further clarification by Ms Murphy as to where the audio system, etc. would be installed: the cafeteria or the
library? It was left that Ms. Murphy would attend the October committee meeting to clarify and answer the
question.
Because there was no other business to be presented in October and the absence of Ms Murphy, the meeting
was not convened. The November 9 meeting was convened and the subject of Ms. Murphy's request was taken
up and again tabled until we heard from Ms. Murphy or a member of the School Department.
At the November meeting, partially as a result of the actions noted above, and to allow the committee more
time to review and further investigate any funding requests, the committee has suggested to the Town Manager
that a memo be forwarded to all department heads. The memo would state that any future requests for funding
through the Cable account would be submitted in writing at least 10 days prior to the committee meeting date.
