Tltler.,.Maxine asked what happened with the Titler` Joyce said that Bill Shea is looking at it and-will <br /> get back to us. She said Bill is looking at the equipment recommended by Andrew Eliason. <br /> Bill Shea...Joyce advised that Bill Shea will now report to her and any billing will be presented to Joyce <br /> for payment and Joyce will present to this Board, Effective September 1 Joyce will present requests to <br /> this Board and Bill will be doing the work. Carol from the Selectmen's Office will be doing the training <br /> of the videographers. If system down,then Bill will be contacted to fix the system, James Moroney <br /> asked: Are they trying to recruit any technicians? Joyce responded they do reach out all the time looking <br /> to recruit. <br /> Town of Chatham...James Chisholm announced that the town of Chatham is conducting a"Conflict of <br /> Interest" open meeting and on April 2 6,2 007 they will offer a workshop on the subject at Chatham Town <br /> Hall. Maxine asked what is "conflict of interest' Joyce explained and offered examples. <br /> New License With Comcast,..Maxine asked ghat input would this Board have regarding the new <br /> license with Comcast and is Mr. Epstein the attorney? Joyce explained that this Board looks at the <br /> contract; determines what, if any, changes should be incorporated; and then Attorney Epstein, Joyce and <br /> Andrew Eliason ill negotiate with Comcast. Lolita said for example you look to negotiate net profit. <br /> Joyce added and things like will Comcast continue to maintain the studio. Lolita added that we have one <br /> of the hest set-ups for towns and Mashpee is way ahead with cable. Joyce stated the lawyer would <br /> interpret what they give us in the contract. Also, this Board will hold public hearings during the licensing <br /> process. Maxine said but Comcast could say they're not going to give as much; and Joyce replied that's <br /> up to us to negotiate. Lolita said she hopes that when negotiations start each member of this Board can <br /> get a sheet shoring what costs are and have our priorities listed. Joyce said it is important for Peter to <br /> come to MCAT meeting to be infornne . She will contact him and see whether or not he can attend <br /> MCAS'meeting on November 14, 2006. <br /> As an aside,Maxine mentioned when she makes tapes and runts to distribute throughout Cape she has to <br /> take personally to other town studios. Board members and Joyce said that is because studio is to serve <br /> Mashpee, which it does very well. For someone doing personal tapes for distribution outside Mashpee, <br /> they do have to go to other toms on their own. <br /> Budget,, James Chisholm gave the Board an update on current budget, All Board members accepted and <br /> agreed with the updated budget. <br /> Next eet ..."Tuesday,November 14, 2006 at 3 p.m.,Meeting Room 1. <br /> Ad!ournment. 4 Lolita McCray motioned the meeting be adjourned; this motion was seconded by Maxine <br /> wolfet; and was unanimously pased.
