Talk ftom time to time of having someone cone in and loop over the control room system to make <br /> recommendations for improvement. Andrew suggested that an outside consultant with expertise come in <br /> to look the equipment over, along with Bill. Joyce agreed that an outside party, along with Bill, should <br /> loop at it. <br /> Motion: James Chisholm motioned that we recommend to the Board of Selectmen that funds not to <br /> exceed$20 be set aside to do an assessment of the equipment of the control room; James <br /> Moroney seconded the motion; and it was unanimously approved. James Chisholm stated that the <br /> person should be asked to estimate what our needs might be over the next ten years. <br /> Joyce Mason advised the Board that Cornet was here last weep and there is an issue with the signal and <br /> the issue is at Comcast end. Joyce will advise when she hears back from Comcast. <br /> Andrew mentioned as an aside that there are problems with camera 4 from time to bine due to light <br /> coning through the blinds of one of the windows. Following discussion, Andrew suggested we table this <br /> issue until we have occurrence with more than the one window. <br /> Andrew mentioned that the speaker system was put in quite some years ago and here have been <br /> complaints from people in the back of the room not able to hear...Maxine said especially when the air <br /> conditioner is running. Joyce said one of the reasons once was that the whole system back there was shut <br /> off; and the air conditioning unit is noisy but we won't replace air conditioning at this point. Andrew <br /> suggested that maybe adding 2 speakers at the back would work. Joyce will look into this. <br /> Andrew suggested the procedure for shut-down should be revised. Also, formal process for shutting off <br /> the speakers should be in place in some type of memo or manual. <br /> James Chisholm said we should loop into a way to male that portable unit at the Comcast studio more <br /> accessible. Joyce said the trouble is it's time-consuming to transport it. Maxine said how about using 1t 1f <br /> you have 2 meetings going on at Town Hall Andrew said that part of responsibility should be that <br /> Comcast train how to use that system. Joyce repeated that it was hoped someone from the High School <br /> would do town meetings, but that hasn't been able to materialize yet. <br /> REQUESTS FOR FUNDS <br /> David DelVecehio <br /> Davidu muted a request for What's Gold Premium--a ranch needed Network Management <br /> s b q -- <br /> Software. The cost; is $3400 to purchase the product with the initial year of maintenance. <br /> Motion: James Chisholm motioned the Board recommends to the board of selectmen to approve <br /> $3400 for the purchase of what's Up Gold Premium Network Management Software as requested <br /> by David elvecchio; James Moroney seconded the motion; and it was unanimously approved. <br /> Andrew asked Joyce whether there was any more feedback as to what the library may need. Joyce <br /> responded that they'll get general bids tomorrow and that will determine whether or not we have enough <br /> fundin <br />
