Tightrope Media System Proposal
February 10, 2009
Dear Cable Advisory Board Members,
The Mashpee Public Schools TV Studio would like to respectfully submit this proposal to
the Cable Advisory Board in the amount of$19,688.00 to support broadcast developments. The
studio is extremely grateful for your past contributions. As you know there are several aspects
which make up a broadcast studio. Because of your generosity, we were able to upgrade the live
broadcast aspect of our studio.
This Proposal entails station automation and digital signage upgrades. The station
automation of a broadcast studio allows scheduled programming of shows or prerecorded
material. The digital signage aspect is a bulletin system designed to continuously display
information and messages.
OBJECTIVE: To improve the functions of channel 22 through digital signage and station
automation, allowing the studio to air productions in an organized scheduled format allowing
channel 22 to communicate with the community more effectively.
BENEFITS: Automatic show programming, posted schedules; keeping community informed, video
storage and operates along side Broadcast Pix.
Examples of productions to be scheduled include: School committee meetings, finance
committee meetings, sporting events, student productions, concerts, plays, filmed lectures/courses
and ceremonies. Currently these productions need to be aired manually.
The opportunity to present this proposal as well as your consideration is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
V
n
r
Arthur Joia III
Media Arts Director
Mashpee Public Schools
