I SOWN .94P■ 06. 440 moi# ' ih s MASIRPEE CABLE AND ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY ADVISORY BOARD MINUTES of MEETING HELD TUESDAY,JOE 99 2009 TOWN HAIL MEETING ROOM Present Jannes Chisholm Lolita McCray Peter Cohen Absent: Andrew Eliason Also Present: Rene Read,Assistant Town Manager David Delecehio, Director of Information Technology Jaynes Chisholm,Vice Chairman,called the Meeting to order at 2:20 p.m. Approval of mutes i Lolita 1rlray motioned to accept the minutes of the Meeting of May 12,2409 as presented;James Chisholm seconded the motion; and it was approved,with deter Cohen abstaining. Cable License Renewal Rene'Read updated the Board: Rene' said we need a multi-year community cable access budget to submit to Comcast. Rene" will contact Jeff Clough at the Comcast studio to determine what the Comcast budget has been for the studio. Rene' showed the MCAT Board the community access budgets that Sandwich and Yarmouth submitted, to discussing equipment currently at the Comcast studio in Ma hpee,Jaynes Chisholm.said he believes that approximately %of that equipment is owned by the Town and Comcast owns the balance. 0 Rene'provided a Comcast Renewal Proposal Summary of Material Terms and Provisions prepared by Peter Epstein. The Board commented that this Summary was a great job in displaying the breakdown. The Board will review the document further and will provide their input at the next MCAT meeting. Lolita decry did comment that she strongly felt a performance bond should definitely not be less than$100,000. Lolita also voiced her personal viewpoint that sometimes the Town does better in negotiating itself,rather than as a group. Rene' said that may be the way it's done for the last 2 or 3 meetings. James Chisholm asked: Are there no competitors..Rene'responded"riot yet"but Verizon is coning so there will be a proposal put in the agreement tat' oull allow us to be out of the deal if Verizon ernes and offers a better deal.
