4P I <br /> Fa <br /> VW <br /> *'4td <br /> 411 <br /> .* <br /> ISO 40 <br /> E <br /> MASHPEE CABLE AND ADVANCED <br /> TECHNOLOGY ADVISORY BOARD <br /> MINUTES OF EMERGENCY 1IEETTG HELD <br /> THURSDAY,APRIL 299 2010 <br /> TOWN HALL—MEETING ROOM �. <br /> k <br /> Present; Andrew Eliason <br /> James Chisholm <br /> L lita M Cray <br /> Peter Cohen <br /> Also Present: Joyce Mason, Town Manager <br /> Bruce Steno, Sr.Network Technician <br /> Andrew Eliason, Chairman,called the emergency meeting of MCAT to order at 2:19 p.m. <br /> Approval of Mnute <br /> Peter Cohen motioned to accept the minutes of the Meeting of April 20, 2010 s presented;Lolita 1 lcCray <br /> seconded the motion; and the motion was unanimously approved. <br /> New Phone System for Town of Mash ee <br /> Andrew Eliason stated that this emergency meeting was called to discuss an official motion to recommend that <br /> MCAT provide funds to replace the telephone system in Town Hall,excluding the library and high school which <br /> have already been upgraded. Andrew said the figures for this project that were presented to this Board by David <br /> Delecchio at our December 15,2009 meeting were: <br /> $230,264—phone system upgrade f <br /> 23,773—for misc. phone cabling. <br /> The Board abed Joyce Mason if MCAT provides this funding for the upgrade who will he responsible to maintain <br /> it. Joyce Mason said the Town will maintain the new system. In addition,the Town will realize a savings over the <br /> obsolete system. Andrew Eliason commented that as discussed at the December meeting, MCAT understood that <br /> in the long run the Town will save at least$1,000 a month overall and probably more. He requested that David <br /> Delvecchio provide complete details of the estimated savings, upon his return from vacation. <br />
