water, etc. )
At this point there was discussion regarding procedure for
drafting a zoning bylaw and the professionals who should be
involved in this regard.
1r. whritenour suggested the Gantt chart indicating the
various tasks to be accomplished be discussed at the next
scheduled meeting as a means of identifying the roles of the
subs . lir. Brais agreed they would require the time to read
through the documents and to become involved in the scoping
issues. It is critical for the appropriate work to be done
at this level of effort. Proper identification is important as
this project is not standardized.
The chairman stated further study of the Mashpee River is
being investigated by way of revolving fund grants, for the
purpose of fully identifying the sources of nitrates surrounding
the water shed area; as well as a waste water facilities plant
study.
Mr. Storrs informed the Committee of his decision to include
Duncan Woods in the ground grater analysis process .
At this point, the chairman inquired if there was any
further input from the Committee. The Town Planner made
reference to Table 1 , and inquired if the existing permitted
development is to be included in the pending analyses, as a
matter of consistency. (There was discussion as to whether or
notashpee Conunons as a whole should be considered, or limited
to that particular area subject to a change in zoning. )
Mr. Brais corented that the impact studies would be
informed by the permitted development of one hundred 10units,
as those units would become part of the background growth data.
Also, the point of whether or not the one hundred 100
residential existing units are included should be made clear by
way of disclosure to the Townspeople.
The Chairman made the point that the four hundred (40 0)
units being proposed in addition to the one hundred 100 is just
that, a proposal . Also, abutters to the Mashpee commons project
have made it clear that the density issue is important to them.
Mr. Brais stated each of the impact analyses is to be
analyzed with a sensitivity test relating to the possibility of
a lower number of residential units and/or commercial
development .
A determination was made to schedule the next Meeting for
Tuesday, December" 16, 1997, at p.m. An Agenda was agreed
upon. (Mr.. Brais left the meeting at this point, 6 :20 p.m. )
