Minutes of Combined Meeting of 1ashpee Design Review Committee and Mashpee Plan Review Committee Held Thursday, August 1 ,2008 Mashpee Town Hall Meeting Room I Design Review Members Present: Walter Yarosh, Robert Nelson, Toni O'Hara:, Torn Jalowy, and Richard Stevens. Plan Review Members Present; Richard Stevens, Building Inspector Sheldon Hamblin, Deputy Fire Chief Torn Mayo, Town Planning Department Charlie Maintanis, Local Inspector Richard Stevens called the meeting to order at 9 a.m. of y's Auto Repair 129 industrial Drive Representative—Diane Thompson Operate an auto repair shop Diane Thompson, Zoning Consultant, appeared and said that Gary Beaulieu called her since he realized he had issues that he couldn't handle himself She handed out a copy of her memo addressed to Plan Review, dated August 14, 2008, which is attached to the printed set of these minutes. Diane Thompson also presented the following information to the Committee: Gary Beaulieu is already operational. when he cane for his business certificate that is how he became aware of this process. Board of Health hearing was scheduled for last night but was continued to September 10. Walter mentioned that at the last meeting Glen Harrington pointed out to Gary Beaulieu that the Septic System put in was bare bones. Diane said that a letter from Jack Landers-Cauley addresses this issue and is attached to her memo. Committee pointed out that this is a Board of Health issue and should be addressed to then. • Gary Beaulieu occupies urn*t# ,which is 2100 square feet. other units are 1400 square feet. Auto repair shop will have only 1 employee, so parking spaces should be enough. Committee informed her that parking spaces are not an issue; however, handicap parking is. They have 2 handicap spaces, but i must be van accessible. Even though Gary Beaulieu filing, it should legally be filed under Frank Silva, because Frank is the owner and it is his responsibility. Diane said that she understands that Frank Silva is agreeable to Gary Beaulieu doing what needs to be clone. Walter suggested that Plans be-submitted prior to meeting so Committee can review prior to the meeting. Conclusions: Issues to be dealt with...Conform to what was approved under original Special Permit; handicap parking issues; firewall separation between the buildings; Board of Health issues on Septic System; and whatever Fire Department.issues there are regarding what can and cannot be used at the site. Some of the items detailed were:
