Minutes of Combined Meeting of <br /> ashpee resin Review Committee and <br /> Mash pee Plan Review Committee <br /> Held Thursday, February 26, 2009 <br /> l lashpee Town Hall Fleeting Room 3 <br /> Design Review Members Present: Walter Yarosh, Torn O'Hara, and Tom Jalowy. <br /> Plan Review Members Present: <br /> Richard Stevens, Building Inspector <br /> Charlie I laintanis, Local Inspector <br /> Sheldon Hamblin, Deputy l=ire Chief <br /> Torte Fudala, Ton Planner <br /> Ronnie Warden, Assistant Health Agent <br /> Ben Perry, Animal Control officer <br /> Catherine Laurent, DPW Director <br /> Also Present: Paul Bryant, Police Department <br /> Richard Stevens called the meeting to order at 9:01 a.m. <br /> . <br /> Design Review Members excited the meeting during the personal kennel hearing. <br /> Request for Personal fennel License <br /> Carol Abell <br /> 555 Cotuit Road <br /> Request for Personal Kennel License <br /> Carol and Michael Abell appeared. They said they have 5 pugs; they are not adding any dogs; and <br /> all dogs have been neutered. They provided certified rail receipts for railing notifying neighbors of <br /> this hearing. Ben Perry announced he would recuse himself since the applicants provide dog cage <br /> services for his dog. <br /> Conclusion: Donnie Warden stated she did inspection of the fennel; the dogs are healthy and <br /> vaccinations are current. Ronnie said the Board of Health will meet tonight and Ronnie will <br /> recommend approval othe license* <br /> Motion: Ronnie Warden.motioned the application for personal kennel license be approved <br /> subject to Board of Health approval; Sheldon Hamblin seconded the motion; and it was <br /> passed by all present, .ecept Ben.Perrj, who abstained. <br /> Jason Souza <br /> 27 Coun!y Road <br /> Jason Souza appeared. He said he has 2 labs and 2 beagles. The labs are house pets; the beagles <br /> are working dogs and are kept outside in a kennel. He belongs to the Cape Cod Beagle'Club. He <br /> produced receipts that he mailed certified notice to his neighbors. He said the beagles don't bark; <br /> he's had no problem. He pits feces in bags in land fill. He said the kennel is fenced in and puts <br /> fresh straw in the fennel. Ronnie Warden said she will be inspecting the kennel today before going <br /> to the Board of Health meeting tonight. <br /> Motion: .Ben Perry motioned to approve the application for personal kennel license pending <br /> Board of Health approval and inspection; sheld n Hamblin seconded the motion; and it was <br /> unanimously passed. <br />
