Proposed Kennel Conditions <br /> 1. The kennel shall be constructed on.a 20 foot x 28 foot concrete slab foundation. All <br /> cages will be screwed into the concrete foundation. The exterior structure will have 3 <br /> cages on both sides of the building, with each cage being 5 feet x 8 feet in size. A roof <br /> made out of trusses with an overhang shall be constructed to prohibit the dugs from <br /> escaping and to provide shelter from the weather. The building shall be a 12 foot by 20 <br /> foot structure with sleeping quarters for each permitted dog. The sleeping area shall be at <br /> least 5 feet by 4 feet. The building will have one door that enters into a 4 foot by 7 foot <br /> hallway leading into a 12 foot by foot storage area. <br /> 2. The entire property shall be fenced in with an 8 foot wooden fence, with a six foot <br /> chain link fence placed on a concrete footing closing off the dogs from the back yard. <br /> 3. Occupancy of the kennel shall not be allowed until all inspections and sign-offs have <br /> occurred. (Occupancy Permit) <br /> 4. The Owner of the property shall secure and Furnish proof that it holds a Commercial <br /> Liability Policy to run a kennel business out of his home with at least$1 Ml$2M <br /> coverage,and further that the policy shall name the Town of Mashpee as an additional <br /> secured. <br /> 5. The Kennel Business shall comply with all applicable Massachusetts General Laws <br /> and Town of Mashpee Bylaws. <br /> 6. The dogs shall be confined and properly restrained when any town employee enters <br /> the property,when said employee is acting in his/her official capacity. <br /> 7. The property owner shall regularly inspect and maintain the kennel area to ensure all <br /> structural materials are intact and the area is free from debris and obstructions. <br /> 8. The Kennel permit is valid for a one-year period after which the owner must for <br /> renewals consistent with other personal kennel permits. <br /> 9. Inspections by Town Officials shall occur at reasonable and regularlime intervals. <br /> 10. if the owner does not take occupancy of 225 Ashumet Road within 30 days from the <br /> date of the Board of Health approval, the applicant shall be required to permit the current <br /> location of 587 Main Street. Failure to do so shall be a violation of thi Town's Bylaws <br /> and regulations. <br /> 11. The permit shall be limited to nine adult dogs(greater than three months of age). <br /> 12. Failure to comply with one or all of the conditions listed above shall be grounds for <br /> revocation of the kennel license. <br />
