Mashpee Pla g and Construction Committee <br /> Minutes of Meeting Meld Tuesday,February 7,2006 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall Meeting Room 2 <br /> Committee Members Present: Janice Mills, Irving Goldberg, Joe Krait, Steve Cook, and Eugene <br /> Smmrgon. <br /> Absent: Ken 1larsters, and Kevin Shackett. <br /> Invited Participants: Catherine Laurent, DPW <br /> Brad Tripp, Facilities Supervisor at Schools <br /> Eugene Smargon, Vice Chairman, called the meeting to order at 7-.10.p.m. <br /> Approval of Minutes <br /> Janice Mills motioned to accept the minutes of January f o, 2006;Iry Goldberg seconded this notion;and <br /> it was unanimously approved. <br /> New Business <br /> Following new business items were discussed: <br /> Question asked; Did the Fire Chief get prices` Iry Goldberg responded saying Joyce Mason said <br /> the Chief was meeting with an architect. <br /> • Everything voted on the c-i-p list is on hold until October, according to article in Mashpee <br /> Enterprise. <br /> • Iry attended c-i-p meeting and evidently Town doesn't have state money yet so c-i-p items were <br /> being postponed until October;however they were going to try and do the bathrooms at the <br /> school if funds are available. <br /> Bathrooms at School:...Brad Tripp provided the following in rmation: <br /> • He used the original blueprint and traced the septic line so that if the blueprint is accurate they <br /> will be able to tie the new bathrooms into the existing septic cyst rn <br /> • Hot water heater will be put into the bathroom to be able to have hot water. <br /> • Bathrooms will be for students...if they do upstairs and downstairs there will be 2 toilets and 2 <br /> urinals for boys on each floor and 4 toilets on each floor for gins ... totaling 16 fixtures. <br /> There was some discussion as to whether or not the bathrooms would be for students or for staff, as <br /> ongma .y presented. Janice Wills and Brad will connnunicate with the Superintendent of Schools to <br /> detemi ne what is being requested. At next meeting of this Board the requirements will be presented, <br /> along with flan and estimated costs of the bathroom project. <br /> DPW... <br /> Substation moving along for May. <br /> Having a separate"'maintenance bond"to catch up on a things that need to be done as suggested <br /> y Town Hall may be the most Mable way to proceed. <br /> • Adding Maintenance person has been deferred until October. <br /> Catherine is meeting with South Shore Generator on the generator at the Police Department to <br /> assess conditions. Generator is up and running. <br />
