Mashpee Planning and Construction Coif lttee <br /> Minutes of Meeting Held Tuesday,September 5,2006 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall Meeting Room <br /> Committee Members Present: hving Goldberg,Kevin Shackett,Joe Krait, Steve Cook,Janice Mills,and <br /> Sheldon Gilbert, <br /> Absent: Eugene Smargon,and Tricia Parolski Officio Member). <br /> Invited Participant: Catherine Laurent DPW <br /> Bring Goldberg,Vice Chairman,called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. stating that there is evidently a minor <br /> stir going on about where the new firehouse is going to be located. A number of the residents came to Town <br /> Hall prior to the start of this meeting and they left their names and addresses with Catherine Laurent so that she <br /> can nail them information as to parcel location. Iry said that when the matter preaches the stage where it comes <br /> before this Committee then all residents in that immediate area would be informed that it is on agenda of our <br /> public meeting. <br /> roal of Minutes <br /> Janice Mills motioned to accept the minutes of August 15,2006 as changed;Kevin Shad ett seconded this <br /> notion,,and the motion passed,with Joe gait abstaining. <br /> Old Business <br /> New Lib ...Shelly Gilbert advised that the Governor had requested the legislature to reconvene to deal with <br /> the capital outlay program which had not been passed before the legislature adjourned this Sununer. The <br /> capital outlay program would include the Million bond authorization which would be the basis hopefully <br /> for awarding$2.5 Million provision grant to the Town of Mashpee to help build the Library. Shelly said he <br /> will call the Library Building Commissioner tomorrow for the status, <br /> RFP Status,..Catherine reported no revised RFP has been forwarded. She spoke with Rene',Assistant Town <br /> Manager,and he had a bit of a slow down because he had to speak with the Inspector Genet and Attorney <br /> General offices for clarification on some points, Project Manager has to be hired first. Stene'hopes to have <br /> reprised draft done by the end of this week, <br /> Bathrooms at Coombs School...Iry said he walked by the bathrooms several clays ago and they are just framed. <br /> .fake Mills said they are still working on them and they did not plan to have them done by school opening. <br /> Janice is going to attend a meeting tomorrow and wifl get status update. <br /> shnet School...Joe gait reported that Brad had someone looping at the doors at same time Sheriff's <br /> Department was looping at them and Joe has heard nothing further. Janice will follow-up with Brad. <br /> DPW... <br /> Cupola on Town Hall will hopefully be finished Thursday,weather permitting. <br /> Catherine said they are probably going to have to replace goof shingles sooner rather than later <br /> because covered nails are coming out and pushing up on the shingles. <br /> Capital Planning ...Some of the capital items that were deferred from May will be submitted at <br /> October Town Meeting. Catherine advised that 2 generators 1 for Police and 1 for Town Half are <br /> going to move forward and be replaced. <br /> 0 Lower parking lot of Kids Klub had a water leak so it was paged, and funds taken from DPW and <br /> Kids Klub budgets. <br /> 0 When asked what update was on Police Station...Catherine responded nothing further happening at <br /> this time. <br />
