Stewart responded that Mashpee would have to check but another <br /> grantee was told because of the escalating costs they could have 10%reduction but you <br /> have to provide the library services. <br /> Bonn a Barrett stressed to keep in mind that libraries are used for research, as a meeting <br /> place for individuals working together on the computer, and a place for people to <br /> work study in a quiet atmosphere. Bonnie suggested that we look at what other <br /> . libraries are doing and the technology that is needed and being used at the libraries. <br /> Stewart reminded everyone that even though technology is taking off as it is, publishing <br /> houses are publishing way more books than ever before. He said cutting edge libraries in <br /> academia are looking at providing media technology for patrons. <br /> Next ste ...Joyce Mason suggested that now there should be a working session of this <br /> Committee to see where we go from here. She said we've seen what$3.5 Million can do; now <br /> look at what can we get that meets our needs.
