I. Bidding Results—Attached please find the tabulation-of G .bid results.The first lowest bidde .r was disqualified, for failure to properly complete the GC-bid form. PA confirmed the disqualification vith'th AG's office. The next lowest most eligible-bidder is B.arbato Construction from Middleboro,.MA. The bid percentage spread of the first bidders (including the rejected bid) was 2.32%. Dtis is a very low percentage spread and reflective on the quality of the documents. PA would recommend accepting both bid alternates for a.total GC value of $1'4123474..00. . Bidder Bid Form and AM Checks—PA performed a thorough review of bid forms and. � 1 files for the following low bidders. General Contra tor, Plu' robing,HVAC and Electrical.PA did not perform DCAM file reviews for Roofing_and Flashing, Gypsum wallboard and Painting. PA has discussed the issue.with DCAM and the AG's office. It appears that DCAM may have created theP roblem on their end and the G's office has ruled that as DCAM had created the problem, the bid can be accepted. ,DCAM will be creating the correct Eligibility form for Hand endin nye co for the r 'ect g Py p J records. The remainder of the bid forms appear to'be complete and in order. DCAM file was reviewed and appears to be fine.Avg IAS rating—95. Electrical a side Electric - Bid forms appear to be complete and in order. DCAM I file was reviewed and appears to be fine. Avg DCAM rating—94. Of particular note is that Bayside has not been involved with a public project up to this"pint and DCAM had only projects rated on the private side. Bidder Reference Checks — A performed a reference check for the following low bidders. General Contractor, Plumbing, HVAC and Electrical. PA did not perforin reference checks for Roofing and Flashing, Gypsum.wallboard and Painting. The reference checks were established from a random selection of DCAM projects.The goal was to gain a minimum of favorable references, rG arbato — Four references were called and PA received excellent recommendations from all (4) the references called. Of particular note is thatarbato has recently completed projects for the 11rlashpee.mater District and Andy Marls thinks very highly of the company.. Plumb in (Robert W. Based upon the DCAM fillings and past project history it appears that ply Bayside has the ability to complete this work and they have performed on much larger projects than the Fire Station No. 2 project.
