i dates <br /> • Outside'landscaping plan had been presented to the Subconnrnittee,but had more than needed— <br /> had more than cold fit on the site. <br /> Shelly said the Friends may also want to support a water collection system of about$20,000. <br /> Zoning Board hearing scheduled for next Wednesday. we need 5 variances-4 regarding <br /> setback; and I regarding height of the building. Height allowed is 35-feet;building is 45—feet,,not <br /> including the cupola. Helene said we should include the cupola in the height variance we request. <br /> Catherine said Joyce, Town Counsel et al.met with Doug Storrs of Mashpee Commons to discuss <br /> various topics(such as easements,parking,etc.)and the meeting went very well. Mashpee <br /> Commons is waiting for more detailed information on the new Library Building project so they <br /> can review since they have design approval on the building. Mashpee Commons willing-to <br /> supply the street lights, which will be consistent with all the street lights at the Commons. <br /> o Engineer is putting together a lighting Flan for the Library that would include LED vs. standard <br /> lights. <br /> Temporal Libre Locafion <br /> + Moving full-speed ahead. Still looking at sing up space the week ofMay 19,h;move collection <br /> over the week after that; and temporary location library will open June 4. Ribbon cutting will be <br /> held 9: 0 a.m. on June.4' . <br /> Steve Cook said he did a Plan on placement of materials for the temporary site. <br /> Sheriff s Department will do the move. <br /> Audience Comments <br /> ancyr Soderberg <br /> Nancy Soderberg suggested that as to the lights the group may want to check with Falmouth Library. She <br /> said she went to see their new library and they had used brass lighting fixtures that they say never has to <br /> be replaced. Catherine said they would check tis out. <br /> Peter VAfite <br /> Mr. ate addressed the Comnuttee saying he wanted to present an idea that a subcommittee of this <br /> Cottee be set up to move forward on energy renewable issues and they could work with other towns <br /> and focus on energy saving issues. Mr. ate explained what the town of Yannouth did and said now <br /> a .outh is willing to share the RFP with any other town. Mr. white explained that if you move the <br /> DPW Director From Yarmouth is willing to come and talk about this as well. Mr. white asked this <br /> Cottee to move forward with the solar panels that were approved last night aftown meeting. He said <br /> MTC would provide the technical assistance. <br /> During the discussion with Mr. ate, Catherine and the Committee,members offered the following <br /> insight to Mr. White regarding Committee authority; funding;and procedures; <br /> 0 'Dere is a Town staff committee working on this topic. Town meeting authorized Selectmen to <br /> proceed to obtain the$50,000 but right now the money is not available. <br /> 0 we can't charge ahead with anything right now, but we can look at energy efficient systems and . <br /> renewable energy systems. <br /> 0 If town is paying peoplib td investigate the energy situation of all the Town Buildings,those <br /> people are paid to do it and have resources and they should go ahead and advise us if that's what <br /> they want us to do. <br /> • Everyone on this Cottee is for energy efficient systems. The information from Yarmouth <br /> should be given to Catherine or Joyce;and if we are directed,to do anything, we will do it. <br /> Mr. ate exited the meeting. <br />
