Rick explained that they are 75 to o complete with the Construction
Document stage and that the difficult part is that it is cumbersome to estimate construction costs based on
complete Construction Document, but Stewart wanted it so that's why they're doing it.
Rick pointed out that the.Cottee has been holding off going to the Board of Selectmen for approval o
the project until vire have Mashpee Commons' approvals. He said all Mashpee Con pons' questions have
been answered and we are waiting to hear by middle of this week from Mashpee Commons. He said most
of the issues with Ilashpee Commons have been resolved;now it is making sure easement documents are
in place; and the parking at the entranceway issue gets resolved.. Rick stated that if Cape Cod
Concession gives their approval to Marshpee Commons at the Commission meeting tonight, then
everything else will be done and only parking will be an open issue.
In view of time constraints, the Committee agreed that the project has to be submitted to the Board of
Selectmen for approval at the Selectmen meeting, duly 21,20 . Catherine Laurent will request the matter
be placed on the.duly 2 1 Selectmen meeting agenda;Rick Pomroy will contact Step art Roberts and ask
he attend this,duly 2 1 meeting also.
Discussion
There was a discussion about the solar panels and how this field is now and will be continually changing.
Rick point out that when deigwing you have to design what you're going to go with. Steve Cook
mentioned that we have to stick with a Massachusetts company to get the rebate grant money.
Sheldon Gilbert said although he's sure Joyce Mason is aware of this,he feels it's milportant to mention
` that at the time we select bidder we must have cash in.hnd so Town will'hve to borrow the money. In
view of the time it tabes to get this clone, it is someffing that should be started. `
When asked about the demolition of the old hbrmy building,-Rick Fomroy responded that the old biding
would not get torn down until we have bids back. Bids wiU be back mid-September. Rick Poniroy also
cornxnented that the"better value's approach is to have the demolition performed under the General
Contractor.
