This duration
was established with the Town based upon the architect's original estimated schedule of 12 to 13 months talus a month added for
punch list completion, close-out and F & E deliveries. The way things are shaping up at this time the total duration for the project
will be 16 months through F&E completion as detailed below;
1. Construction Duration After the completion of the design of the facility the team determined that the bid documents should
include a requirement for the contractor to obtain substantial completion of the project within a 14 month duration and obtain
final completion no later than 30 days thereafter, thus establishing a 15 month beginning to end schedule for the contractor.
Below are the actual dates applied to these milestones;
• Notice to Proceed issued/construction start- 11/4/08
+ Contract Date of Substantial Completion- 1/8/10
0 Anticipated Final Completion- 2/15/10
0 Total Duration 15 months and 1 week
2. F&E Duration—During the F&E design and bidding phase the Team determined that the F&E installations would occur after
the GC substantially completed its punch list and we were near final completion. Currently the major F&E millwork and stack
items will begin installation on the week of 1/25/10 and it is estimated to take 3 to 4 weeks to complete which could put us at
the end of February 2010 for the millwork ork and stack F F items. The movable F&E items are all scheduled for delivery mid-
February 2010, so for all intensive purposes we anticipate the facility to be 100%complete and ready for move-in/operation by
March 1,20 10.
3. Final Schedule—used on the information above below phase find what we anticipate the Final Schedule to be;
• Notice to Proceed issued construction start- 1114108
0 Contract Date of Substantial Completion- 118/1
Anticipated Final Completion- 2/15/10
• FF Start 1/25/10
• F&E Finish 2128109
• Total Duration 16 months
As it stands right now PA's contract obligations will be complete at the end of December 2009. We would life to recommend that
the Committee extend our contract for the months of January and February 2010 to insure that all components of the project are
completed successfully and that the facility is ready for occupancy as planned. we can perform these services on an hourly basis at
our contract billing rates or simply extend our services to the Town at our regular monthly billing rate of$16,200.00, which I feel
will be more economical for the Town of Mashp e.
I look forward to your thoughts on this.
Pomroy Associates—NIL— 12/3/09 DP1i Additional Services#3 Page 1 of f
