Town of Mashpee <br />Board of Selectmen <br />Policy No: 045 <br />Appointment of Boards and Committees <br />Whereas the Board of Selectmen is the appointing authority for the Board of Registrars, <br />Board of Assessors, Board of Appeals, Sewer Commission, Board of Health, <br />Conservation Commission and other multiple member bodies, the process for <br />appointment of Boards and Committees is as follows: <br />• A public notice shall be published by March I" of each year in a newspaper of <br />general circulation listing all Board and Committee vacancies and/or <br />reappointments for the ensuing fiscal year. <br />A public notice shall be posted on the Town Hall bulletin board and on the <br />Town's Website listing all Board and Committee vacancies and/or <br />reappointments for the ensuing fiscal year. <br />• New Individuals interested in serving shall submit a letter of interest along with a <br />resume to the Office of Selectmen. <br />• Individuals not interested in reappointment must submit a letter of resignation by <br />May I` of his/her reappointment year. <br />• Appointments shall be in accordance with the Mashpce Charter and Code of the <br />Town of Mashpee. <br />Adopted by the Mashpee <br />Board of Selectmen <br />February 28, 2005 <br />Amended July 10, 2006 <br />
