4 <br /> wasteCap: A private non-profit organization set up by <br /> major corporations within the Boston metropolitan area. The <br /> basic goal is to educate other business by using business people <br /> to do the educating, sharing the benefits of recycling. <br /> Mr. Hall encouraged visibility of recycling efforts within <br /> the community, as well as sharing ideas with ether communities. <br /> Mr. Rall concluded his presentation at this point 7 <br /> P.M. • <br /> The Chairman stated, for the record, his appreciation to <br /> Veronica Mayer, recognizing that she has been instrumental in <br /> obtaining a Municipal Recycling Grant for one hundred (loo) <br /> wheeled recycling carts valued at approximately Four Thousand <br /> Seven Hundred ($4, 700 . 00) Dollars, of which the Town of mashpee <br /> would be responsible to pay half, awarded by the Commonwealth of <br /> Massachusetts, Executive Office of Environmental Affairs, <br /> Department of Environmental Protection, as presented in letter <br /> dated December ber , 1999, addressed to Mr. Ken Marsters, Town of <br /> Mashpee, signed by Lauren A. Liss, Commissioner, and cc to Ms. <br /> Veronica Mayer, Senator Rauschenbach and Representative C ffyn, <br /> Stephanie Jones commended Veronica Mayer for obtaining a <br /> container for cardboard, along with a sign which reads <br /> "Corrugated Cardboard only± " . Committee Members agreed this <br /> information should be publicized in the Mashpee Enterprise and <br /> the local cable t.v. station when it is available to the public. <br /> The Chairman suggested some thought be given to publicity <br /> and/or announcement in preparation for a CRT Special Collection <br /> Day on April Ist. <br /> Adjournment <br /> Them being no further Recycling Committee business to <br /> address, the Chairman entertained a motion to adjourn. <br /> MOTION: Stephanie Jones made a.
