this matter as he was unable to be present at this evening' s <br /> meeting to be that certain DEP format language is unnecessary. <br /> Mr. Leven le suggests that the Recycling Committee <br /> simply inform Chris Long, Mashpee Enterprise, of the new <br /> procedure. He cautions the Committee to not "over dramatize" the <br /> situation. He is suggesting that at the time of drop-off; <br /> citizens be directed to that area where the containers are <br /> located. <br /> Veronica warden stated the Press Release had been prepared <br /> for the purpose of collecting input from Committee members . she <br /> also reported that signage for the CRT' sRecyclables are being <br /> prepared by DEP. In her opinion, she stated certain aspects of <br /> the DRAFT are contradictory and confusing; and stated she is <br /> uncomfortable with the format. she suggested the C r nittee <br /> present information in a simple and straightforward manner. <br /> The Chairman relayed that the Board of Health has requested <br /> said information be presented in a better format. . <br /> Veronica Warden suggested titins be informed there is no <br /> charge involved; and that identification will be required to <br /> verify residence. <br /> Stephanie Jones stated that certain information should <br /> remain in the notice- -incineration, waste ban, recycling and <br /> repairing, and reduction of mining resources. she agreed the <br /> public should be aware that this is a no-cost solution, that <br /> CRT' s can no longer be accepted, and that an attendant will be <br /> available for direction. <br /> It was determined that notification would be forwarded to <br /> Mashpee Enterprise presented in a format which will include <br /> the Directory, E-Mail address, the local and recycling web <br /> addresses. <br /> The Chairman suggested information be .provided through cable <br /> .v. channels as well . He also suggested it be mace clear that <br /> this proposal is a free disposal for Town residents only, up to <br /> and including the date of June 1, 2000 . <br /> Veronica warden suggested a second press release be <br /> distributed in Enid-June listing individual charges. <br /> DEP Grant Award for Marketing services <br /> Veronica Warden reported a grant has been awarded from DEP. <br /> According to CRT recycling, th re will be a charge for the rental <br /> of the roll off ($70 . 00 per month) . An agreement has been <br /> reached for removal of the CRT' s. References were arcade to the <br /> above mentioned letter to Elias McQuaid, dated February 9, 2000, <br /> quoting a charge of $. 15 per pound for televisions. The <br /> estimated number per week being seven 7 and the average size <br /> � - <br />
