will indicate cardboard drop-off. <br /> MOTION: Veronica warden made a Motion to forward a Memo to <br /> the Board of Health requesting the purchase of a sign to be <br /> displayed at the transfer station office above the hopper, <br /> stating "No Corrugated Cardboard Permitted in Household Trash" <br /> which lotion was seconded by Stephanie Jones and so voted <br /> unanimously. <br /> There was brief discussion regarding the current status of <br /> cardboard/newspaper. Veronica warden explained the process for <br /> recycling pick-up, including hauling charges, and the <br /> determination of market price. <br /> There was also brief discussion regarding existing <br /> conditions at the newspaper drop-off area. Stephanie Jones <br /> stated she is compiling information for a report which she <br /> intends to file with the Board of Health. <br /> REAPS Grant <br /> 4 <br /> Reference was made to letter dated February 10, 2000, from <br /> Peggy Harlow, Recycling Grant Manager, Department of <br /> Environmental Protection, indicating that a Recycling Education <br /> Assistance for Public Schools grant program has been approved in <br /> connection with the M IP filing. <br /> There was brief discussion/suggestions as to possible <br /> project participation of school age children. Veronica warden <br /> suggested approaching the Superintendent of Schools prior to the <br /> beginning of classes for the purpose of discussion of possible <br /> school/recycling project contest programs. <br /> MRIP Program-FPro%gram-FY 00 <br /> Veronica Warden suggested this program not be pursued any <br /> further at this time; she suggested Committee Members review the <br /> information provided at their leisure. <br /> FYI-Response to Huntingest Group <br /> Letter~ dated February 9, 2000 to the attention of Mr. Jim <br /> Curtis c/o The Hunt i nge s t Group, P.C. , signed by Veronica warden, <br /> Assistant Health Agent, Mashpee Board of Health was approved by <br /> Committee Members. <br /> For Your Information <br /> The Chairman informed Members of a multi-Family worl shop <br /> scheduled for Friday, March loth in Attleboro, at 10 : 00 a.m. <br /> He stated the haulers are expected to be present, noting this <br /> would be an ideal opportunity to ask them questions. <br /> -4- <br />
