However, Ms. warden was very optimistic tic for the upcoming <br /> fiscal year/reports. <br /> The Committee commented on the high CRT figures. <br /> The Chairman thanked Ms. warden for her efforts in this <br /> regard <br /> Memo - Greg Smith <br /> Pay As You Throw Program <br /> Ms. Warden acknowledged said Memo dated October 11, 2000, <br /> from Greg Smith of the Cape Cod Commission noting its promotion <br /> of a Pay As You Throw Program, and fixture plans for Cape-wide <br /> participation. <br /> Nemo - Greg Smith <br /> Cardboard Aggregation at Harwich Transfer S t at i on <br /> Ms . warden acknowledged said Memo dated September 8. 2000f <br /> also from Greg Smith of the Cape Cod Commission, stating she had <br /> conducted some research in this regard. She reported on the <br /> impracticalities of hauling from Mashpee to Harwich, as well as <br /> noting said program is in its infancy stages, and finally that it <br /> is more expedient forashpee to haul to Bourne. <br /> The recycling hauler, &L, has expressed a preference to <br /> haul to Bourne as the Harwich plan has not yet been finalized. <br /> FYI -- Goddard Resignation <br /> Ms. warden acknowledged the resignation of Phil Goddard, <br /> Southeast District Coordinator for MRIP. <br /> Ms . warden stated she has applied for several grant <br /> applications from private entities and has every .intention of <br /> pursuing this matter as time permits. <br /> Letter/Update - Weston & Sampson -- Compactors <br /> At this point the Chairman updated Stephanie Jones as to the <br /> status of the bid for compactors. <br /> Ms. warden reported it has come to her attention that Greg <br /> Taylor has been appointed to oversee the installation aspects of <br /> the project, and that he will speak with the company ultimately <br /> hired for the project to insure there will be no additional costs <br /> over and above what has been bid in the specs. <br /> Also, Weston & Sampson are currently in the process of <br /> contacting/questioning two of the companies for clarification of <br /> certain items included in their bid proposals. <br /> -2- <br />
