Recycling Committee <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> December 18, 2002 <br /> Members present: Chuck Gasior, Nikki lescoteaux, <br /> Others: Catherine Laurent, Mary Keleher <br /> The meeting began at 4:00 P.M. <br /> The meeting minutes of the November 20, 2002 meeting were approved. <br /> C. Gasior informed the committee that the business owner liaison's name is Linda Steele. <br /> She is the branch'manager at Cape Cod Five Cents savings hank. C. Laurent sent a ` <br /> memo to the Board of Selectmen explaining the idea of a business recycling day. <br /> C. Laurent is still waiting for Brad Trippto call back about the Coombs School recycling <br /> program. <br /> I. Descoteaux questioned the recycling ofwrapping paper. C. Laurent has contacted the <br /> cable station and there will be a message informing residents that wrapping paper is <br /> recyclable. <br /> C. Laurent informed the committee that there has been an increase inole coming in <br /> p g <br /> for recycling bins and there has also been an increase in residents recycling at the <br /> Transfer Station since the mailing of the recycling brochure. <br /> C. Laurent informed the committee that the Transfer Station will be accepting Christmas <br /> trees for recycling again this year at no charge. <br /> C. Laurent idormed the committee that the Selectmen voted against an increase in the <br /> sticker fee at the Transfer Station. The committee discussed the necessity of increasing <br /> the fee because the costs of disposal, hauling, operation, etc., increase over the years. <br /> C. Gasior requested a copy of the proposed budget. C. Laurent will mail copies to all the <br /> committee members. <br /> The next recycling committee meeting will be held on January 15, 2003 at 4:00 P.M. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 5:00 P.M. <br /> x <br />
