rpEt SCHOOL COMMITTEE - REGULAR MEETING - JUNE 5, 1991 PAGE 3 Maintenance Person position - Dr. DeMoura discussed the need for a Maintenance Person position. Head l�! Custodian, Mr. Richard Purrier elaborated on the job description of same. After much discussion, it was decided to hold off on this position until the July meeting. Instrumental Music Teacher - Dr. DeMoura recommended increasing the instrumental music teacher from . 66 to full time for the 1991-1992 school year. Motion made by Mr. Consalvi, seconded by Ms. Gibbs, to approve this recommendation. VOTE: Unanimous Due to the time constraints, it was suggested to recess the regular meeting and move to the Public Hearing discussions regarding the FY92 school budget. Motion made by Mr. Consalvi, seconded by Mrs. Dunivan to recess the regular meeting at 8:01 p.m. VOTE: Unanimous Communications 5. 1 School Committee 5. 1 . 1 Sandwich Regionalization - Dr. DeMoura read aloud a letter from Superintendent of Sandwich Schools, Dr. Joseph Nicholson, wherein it was stated that due to high Sandwich enrollments, it is not viable for the Sandwich Public Schools to accommodate Mashpee students. 5 . 1 . 2 Eileen and Edward Long - Dr. DeMoura read aloud this letter from parents of a Middle School sixth grader complimenting the "Team Teaching" concept at the Middle School. 5.1. 3 Albert Polsi - Dr. DeMoura read aloud this thank you letter from Mr. Polsi regarding his participation in discussing the Sandwich regionalization issue at last month' s meeting. 5. 2 Use of Facilities - Dr. DeMoura recommended approval of the following facility usage requests: 5. 2 . 1 Cape Cod Board 22 - Cape & Islands, Ballfield on July 5, 6, 7 , August 30 , 31, and September 1, 1991 .10 5. 2 . 2 Mashpee Planning Board - June 12, 1991, Great Room at the Davis School. 5. 2 . 3 Boston University School of Public Health May 30, 1991, Great Room at the Davis School.
