Liberty <br /> outlined the Middle School June activities including <br /> the Concert set for June 6 and June 11, the Annual <br /> •` „, Awards Assembly will take place on June 14, the <br /> Nantucket trip for eighth graders was today (June 5) , <br /> and Grade 8 Graduation ceremonies will be held on <br /> June 17 , 1991. <br /> 6.7 Falmouth High School Graduation - June 8, 1991 - Dr. <br /> DeMoura reiterated that Falmouth High School <br /> Graduation will be held on June 8. He and Dr. Petti <br /> °w> will be attending. <br /> g <br /> an 6. 8Invocation and Benediction at Graduation Exercises - <br /> + In light of the controversy surrounding this issue, <br /> School Attorney William Butler advised not to include <br /> either an invocation or benediction in the Middle <br /> ;.:. School graduation ceremonies this year. <br /> '; . 6. 9 Davis School Well - Dr. DeMoura reported that <br /> effective September 1992 , children will be relocated <br /> to the Davis School due to limited space at the <br /> f Coombs and Middle Schools. In 1989, the Selectmen <br /> "YN replaced the existing well without permission from <br /> the Department of Environmental Protection. Since <br /> this is a public water supply, a mandated process <br /> must be followed. Two steps must occur -- one, <br /> .° obtain engineering data and permission from DEP; and <br /> ?_ two, installation of a new well at the rear of the <br /> school. Dr. DeMoura suggested completing the <br /> engineering work now and installation of the new well <br /> ncxt year. Dr. Petti suggested holding off on this <br /> suggestion until the School Committee meets with the <br /> Selectmen to discuss who will assume financial <br /> responsibility. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded by Ms. Gibbs, to <br /> approve the Superintendent' s suggestion of having the <br /> engineering work done now and installation of the new <br /> well next year. Dr. DeMoura will write a letter to the e <br /> $ Selectmen requesting to be placed on their upcoming <br /> agenda. <br /> VOTE: In favor - Ms. Gibbs, Mr. Consalvi, Mrs . <br /> Mills, and Mrs. Dunivan; opposed - Dr .
