All members agreed@ 4 <br /> Jones presented a brief summary of the work accomplished by the <br /> School Building Committee. Prior to the initiation of design of f ort on <br /> yew elementary <br /> school building, all possible alternatives were looked <br /> at <br /> , These <br /> included detailed studies of expansion of either or both the <br /> Middle School and the K. C. Coombs school as well as a major rehabeffo <br /> rt on the Davis School, on any cost effectiveness basis, none o ..k <br /> these were attractive in comparison with construction of a new <br /> elementary r school. The design of a proposed elementary school building <br /> was then begun, laid out, and brought bef ore the various townof f <br /> als the faculties of both the elementary and middle schools, and <br /> the <br /> hen School committee rembership• All suggestions reported to the . <br /> building din committee were reviewed and the final design reflected those I <br /> inputs , The interim plan adopted by the School Committee is to clean <br /> up the Davis School for use as a pre-school and kindergarten unit.
