Elizabeth Petti, and <br /> ti Janice Mills. <br /> Administration: Dr, Lincoln A. DeIoura and Nick <br /> ., Feldman. Char le ibe rty was absent due to <br /> -. conducting a parent meeting elsewhere, <br /> This p cial meeting was called to discuss the Year- <br /> Year-Round bound EducAtion Conference that Mrs. Dunivan and <br /> . duaation Ms*. Gibbs had attended in Las Vegas during February <br /> Discus-sion F 7--11 ,- _1 1.'.. --Ms,.. Gibbs.-.-opened-.--the present-ation-.b .-.-_.__-.r- <br /> reading a document she had prepared. In summary, <br /> she ,stated that she believesyear-round education <br /> 'I <br /> is an exciting concept and, with total, community <br /> k <br /> involvement and lots of planning, could work in <br /> iashpee. Currently, there are no year-round <br /> education cation programs in New England. <br /> Mrs. Dunivan highlighted the advantages and <br /> disadvantages of year-round , education. See <br /> kF attached outlines. ) Both agreed the first year <br /> would be costly to the town but would subside a <br /> {: the implementation progressed. Mrs. Gibbs <br /> x = # <br /> suggested that at sub-committee be formed that would <br /> x consist of the superintendent of Schools, School <br /> 4 <br /> Committee members, and principals to formulate the <br /> 4 <br /> implementation plans. This will be discussed at <br /> the March 3 . 1993 meeting. once these plans have <br /> F been discussed,' a committee consisting of parents, <br /> community members, and school employees will be <br /> formulated. <br /> .
