The child has returned to the home in Mashpee and <br /> the mother has asked to have the child remain at Bourne High <br /> School. Bourne officials have approved the child's <br /> continued enrollment but only if Mashpee is willing to allow <br /> F a Bourne child access to one of our programs. Dr. DeMoura <br /> recommended approvali <br /> of this arrangement for the following <br /> reasons. one, that it s in the best .interest of the <br /> children .involved and two, it is More cost effective than anLj F <br /> out-of--district placement, <br /> Motion made by Dr. Petti, seconded by Mr. Cons alvi t F <br /> approve the Superintendent's -recommendation with the <br /> stipulation that Mashpee's only cost would be <br /> transportation for the Mashpee student. <br /> Or <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> 7.2 Middle School Playqround - Dr. DeMoura a plained' the PTO's j <br /> F concern of having elementary school-aged children attending <br /> the Middle school and the need for erecting a playground for <br /> these younger children. A preliminary sketch of what art <br /> possible playground could look like was pregentezi. Cost of <br /> such a playground would be about $25, 000. Mrs. Dunivan <br /> asked the funds Mould be raised. Dr. DeMoura said a!- <br /> professional fundraiser has volunteered time to assist with • <br /> this endeavor as well as with the aid of donations.
