MASHPEE PUBLIC SCHOOLS REGULAR SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEE'T'ING FEBRUARY 2, 1994 Minutes The regular meeting of the Mashpee School Committee was Call Meeting called to order by vice Chair Maryanne Gibbs at : 10 to Order p.m. in the Library of the Mas p e Middle School. Attendees: School. Committee - vice Chair Maryanne Gibbs, Janice Mills, David Consalvi, and Ur. Elizabeth Petti. Chair Carole Uunivan was absent this evening. Administration - Superintendent of Schools Dr. Lincoln A. DeMoura, Middle School Principal Betty Phillips and Coombs School Principal Nick Feldman. On a motion by Mr. Conalvi, seconded by Ur. Petti, the Approval minutes of the regular meeting of January 5, 1994 were -of Minutes approved as amended. VOTE: Unanimous On a notion by Dr. Petti, seconded by Mr. Consal.vi, the minutes of the executive session of January 5, 1994 were approved. VOTE: Unanimous On a motion by Mr. Consalvi, seconded by Dr. Petti, the' minutes of the special meeting of January 20, 1994 were approved. VOTE: Unanimous On a motion, by Dr. Petti, seconded by Mr. Consalvi, the minutes of the special meeting of January 27, 1 4 were approved. VOTE: Unanimous IIT . 3al Library Trustees - Mashpee librarian Helene DeFoe Public addressed the Committee regarding the ongoing topic of Forum sharing library resources. She panted out that the Public Library is already sharing resources with the . schools and offered ,ideas on how the libraries could enhance this arrangement. One idea is to install fax machines in the school libraries which would provide two-way access to materials in the Public Library. she also discussed purchasing of boos that would benefit the school libraries through group pricing. Also during her discussion, Ms. DeFoe discussed linking into the CLAMS network when the high school discussions begin.
