He asked the <br /> Committee to schedule a public hearing to bring the <br /> specs to a closure. There were no issues to discuss this evening under <br /> Specifically this heading. <br /> Assigned/ <br /> Unfinished <br /> Business <br /> Vii , 7 . 1 EarlyRetirement Incentive Pro rare for Teachers - <br /> New Dr. DeMoura explained the Early Retirement <br /> Business Incentive Program and asked the Committee ,if they <br /> thought it would be a} roriate to offer to Mahee <br /> teachers, This program requires three votes the <br /> School Committee,— the. Board of Selectmen and' 'Voters <br /> at Town Meeting. Teachers must be continuously <br /> employed for 10 years in -Massachusetts and/or be 55 <br /> years of age. All decisions must be made by <br /> June 1 , 1994 . <br /> Motion made by D . Petti, seconded by Ms . Gibbs, t <br /> offer the Early Retirement Incentive Program for <br /> Teachers to all Mashpee teachers* <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> 7 , 2 School Im2rovement Plan - Mr. Feldman and Mrs. <br /> Phillips requested to hold off on submitting a plan <br /> until auary ' 19 . <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded by M . Gibbs, <br /> to postpone submission until January 1995. <br /> MOTE: Unanimous <br /> 7 , 3 School Choice - Br. DeMoura stated that the School <br /> Committee must officially vote not to have school <br /> choice on d year-by-year basis by June 1 , 1994 per <br /> the Education Reform Law, Dr. DeMoura said school <br /> choice would not be good for Mashee because it <br /> .would only complicate growthr there is no guarantee � <br /> of more money because tuition reimbursement would <br /> go into the general fund and would have to be <br /> appropriated into the school budget.
