Rev l in Account - Early Childhood Grant <br /> i <br /> An article on the May Town Meeting warrant for establishment of <br /> an Early childhood Revolving Account was discussed. Dr. DeMoura <br /> explained that this program is currently free of charge t <br /> parents , however, the Department of Education is now requiring a <br /> sliding scale fee. At this time, the Early Childhood Advisor <br /> Council will be determining the fee scale., <br /> . Ear.1y Retirement Incentive <br /> Also, the need for a teachers' early retirement incentive <br /> article also exists . Dr. DeMoura informed the board that the <br /> Department of Education is offering early retirement incentive <br /> for teachers who are 55 years of ache and/or have to years of <br /> service. Five years are allowed on age and/or service, however. <br /> . Medicareeim ur.Sements <br /> The school system was advised that they would be eligible t <br /> access medicaid for medicaid-eligible students. It would be <br /> possible to recover as much as 0 ( $90,000) of all therapy <br /> casts and deposited into the genera. ' fund. Due to the <br /> tremendous amount of paperwork (3-4 hours per student and the <br /> home visitations by a social worker, the school department i <br /> unable to fund the necessary position. The Finance Committee <br /> will prepare a Reserve Transfer request. to obtain funding for <br /> these positions. <br /> Architectural Selection - High School <br /> Hoard of Selectmen Chairman Vaccaro announced that the Selectmen <br /> had selected the architectural firm of Sees, Maini and McKee <br /> Associates at the r. r. High School building architects after <br /> meeting with the Building Committee. Negotiations will be on <br /> March 11 , 19940 <br />
