Dr. DeMoura explained that this program is currently free of charge t parents , however, the Department of Education is now requiring a sliding scale fee. At this time, the Early Childhood Advisor Council will be determining the fee scale., . Ear.1y Retirement Incentive Also, the need for a teachers' early retirement incentive article also exists . Dr. DeMoura informed the board that the Department of Education is offering early retirement incentive for teachers who are 55 years of ache and/or have to years of service. Five years are allowed on age and/or service, however. . Medicareeim ur.Sements The school system was advised that they would be eligible t access medicaid for medicaid-eligible students. Due to the tremendous amount of paperwork (3-4 hours per student and the home visitations by a social worker, the school department i unable to fund the necessary position. The Finance Committee will prepare a Reserve Transfer request. to obtain funding for these positions. Architectural Selection - High School Hoard of Selectmen Chairman Vaccaro announced that the Selectmen had selected the architectural firm of Sees, Maini and McKee Associates at the r. r. High School building architects after meeting with the Building Committee. Negotiations will be on March 11 , 19940
