I <br /> i <br /> PERSONNEL BOARD MEETING BAGS <br /> MINUTES of FEBRUARY 7, 1994 <br /> Discussion centered around affirmative action with Bob wrienour <br /> commenting that Mashpee has the highest percentage of population and <br /> work force . He said here in Mashpee, we have a special duty. With <br /> regard to job classification, the minority work force is much higher <br /> in the lower classification and fewer in the higher classification. <br /> Joe asked Bob what he would like them -to do There are many facets of <br /> a comprehensive' program. He said that the Personnel Board has done a <br /> fantastic job . <br /> Bola Sullivan commented that the department still needs clerical help. <br /> { <br /> Joe Dellagala commented that he would lake Bob Whritenour to meet with <br /> the Board more often . Bob said that he would meet as -often as -he can. <br /> e ' ould like to see the Personnel Board get very active in a way that- <br /> is <br /> hatis constructive. <br /> Interview of Board Secretary <br /> The Board met with Pat Crutchfield for the purpose of interviewing her <br /> for a Board Secretary position. The rate of pay, job description and <br /> hours of the - position were discussed . Two Boards are currently <br /> looking for a night-time sec `etaryfaterways and Economic Development <br /> Committee ) . Dote ; Bat Crutchfield was tested for her shorthand and <br /> typing skills previous to the meeting with the Board . Additional <br /> interviews with other candidates will be held -at the Board ' s meeting <br /> of February 16 , <br /> Affirmative Action <br /> In follow-up to Bob hritenour ' s request that the Board become more <br /> active, Marcia Lindsey asked that Jamie Dias, the Torn of Falmouth ' s <br /> Affirmative Action Officer, be invited to attend a Board meeting. <br /> Evaluations <br /> With regard to evaluations, it was suggested that the Cape Cod College <br /> be contacted to see if they do evaluation training . <br /> n ecto b Titjgs <br /> .The Board asked that a memo be sent to the Board of Selectmen <br /> recommending a change in job titles for the Building Inspector t <br /> Inspector of Buildings and Assistant Building Tnspector to Local <br /> Inspector. <br /> Articles for A.T.M. <br /> The Board asked that articles' be submitted for Annual town Meeting for <br /> the upgrade of the Assistant 'Town Accountant position, Administrate re <br /> Assistant position ( with more research to be dome ) and the Inspector <br /> job title charge if an article is needed . They agreed to hold off <br /> submitting an article for monies for a consultant and to hold off <br /> submitting an article for additional steps on the F.A. P. salary <br /> schedule and on an increase in Longevity - for B. , . employees , The <br /> Board was under the understanding that a cost of living increase <br /> t <br />
