I i PERSONNEL BOARD MEETING BAGS MINUTES of FEBRUARY 7, 1994 Discussion centered around affirmative action with Bob wrienour commenting that Mashpee has the highest percentage of population and work force . He said here in Mashpee, we have a special duty. With regard to job classification, the minority work force is much higher in the lower classification and fewer in the higher classification. Joe asked Bob what he would like them -to do There are many facets of a comprehensive' program. He said that the Personnel Board has done a fantastic job . Bola Sullivan commented that the department still needs clerical help. { Joe Dellagala commented that he would lake Bob Whritenour to meet with the Board more often . Bob said that he would meet as -often as -he can. e ' ould like to see the Personnel Board get very active in a way that- is hatis constructive. Interview of Board Secretary The Board met with Pat Crutchfield for the purpose of interviewing her for a Board Secretary position. The rate of pay, job description and hours of the - position were discussed . Two Boards are currently looking for a night-time sec `etaryfaterways and Economic Development Committee ) . Dote ; Bat Crutchfield was tested for her shorthand and typing skills previous to the meeting with the Board . Additional interviews with other candidates will be held -at the Board ' s meeting of February 16 , Affirmative Action In follow-up to Bob hritenour ' s request that the Board become more active, Marcia Lindsey asked that Jamie Dias, the Torn of Falmouth ' s Affirmative Action Officer, be invited to attend a Board meeting. Evaluations With regard to evaluations, it was suggested that the Cape Cod College be contacted to see if they do evaluation training . n ecto b Titjgs .The Board asked that a memo be sent to the Board of Selectmen recommending a change in job titles for the Building Inspector t Inspector of Buildings and Assistant Building Tnspector to Local Inspector. Articles for A.T.M. The Board asked that articles' be submitted for Annual town Meeting for the upgrade of the Assistant 'Town Accountant position, Administrate re Assistant position ( with more research to be dome ) and the Inspector job title charge if an article is needed . They agreed to hold off submitting an article for monies for a consultant and to hold off submitting an article for additional steps on the F.A. P. salary schedule and on an increase in Longevity - for B. , . employees , The Board was under the understanding that a cost of living increase t
